Information about the sights:
Old Town Hall:
The Old Town Hall dates back to a 13th-century building and was rebuilt in 1417. On December 4, 1944, it was destroyed in the air raid on Heilbronn. In 1949/1951 reconstruction was restored only the exterior architecture of the main building.
Art clock:
The Heilbronn Art Clock was made in 1580 by Isaac Habrecht, parts of an older art clock by Hans Paulus from the year 1525 were used. The painting and gilding took over Hans Peter Eberlin. In 1896, the historic movement was replaced by a new production of the company Hörz from Ulm. The destruction of Heilbronn in 1944 by bombs also affected the town hall and its clock. The company Hörz built 1953 again a clockwork, which performs its service until today. The Flaschner- and Installateurmeister Wilhelm Klagholz has made for the reconstruction of the town hall, the two rams, the rooster and the city eagle as kunstschmiederne plastic made of copper. On September 4, 1953, the restoration of the clock was completed under the artistic direction of Ingeborg Wolf.
